A live-action series is being made and it will be helmed by Jeff Davis, who did a spectacular job with ‘Teen Wolf’. He will be assisted by Gale Anne Hurd, who has been a part of the production team for shows like ‘The Walking Dead’. Every season focused on a particular part of their lives and the finales generally featured the closure of that part. For five seasons the main focus of the series was on Lauren Conrad who was shown to work her way up in the fashion industry.

If nothing else, we can thank this show for giving us one of our favorite Jersey Shore ladies. And the fact that this was a half-hour program meant that we really didn’t get to see a lot about any of the potential daters, but considering this is not your typical dating show, we shouldn’t be surprised.

And you can’t help but think that there were often going to be more than one disappointed person by the end. Just like the title suggests, potential suitors are allowed to go into a person’s room and rifle through their drawers to get a sense of who the other person is. Forget romance, this was definitely an experience in invasion, and it was definitely one of those shows that lacked the spark we expect from a dating show. Ex on the Beach is definitely one of the more unique reality dating shows, and it might just be my favorite of the bunch. It helps that it is still on the air and we get a new batch of exes every year. Basically, this was like an entirely new level of dating show drama and for some reason it was hard to look away.

What makes Dismissed stand out from the reality dating crowd has to be the fact that the name says it all. There have been two different seasons of A Double Shot at Love, with the first coming in 2008 and starring twin sisters. The second season featured two of our favorite Jersey Shore stars, Pauly D and Vinny. And much like The Bachelorette, the series gave one reject the chance to date a house filled with potential dates looking for love. From Next to Date My Mom, MTV knew what to deliver that would make us cringe, but also keep us watching.
